Can I use Scribe on multiple WordPress sites?
Yes, you can install the plugin on multiple sites AND use the same API key. For commercial plans, we don’t limit the number of sites . . . only the number of content evaluations you perform per month is determined by your plan.
Why do I need an API Key?
The API key is used to regulate the number of content evaluations provided by our service to each Scribe subscriber. We have multiple pricing tiers, including a free “test drive” tier, based on the amount of evaluations performed on your website or blog content.
What is an “evaluation” ?
An evaluation is the term we use to describe the analysis of content using Scribe. For example, every time you click the Analyze button within Scribe, we consider this an evaluation and subtract 1 evaluation from your total.
Why does Scribe for WordPress require certain themes or the All in One SEO Pack in order to work?
Scribe for WordPress relies on the SEO features of some of the more popular SEO frameworks for WordPress. Our currently supported frameworks represent platforms that have been tested and support the advanced SEO features required to maximize your exposure on search engines.
How is Scribe different from other SEO tools?
Scribe is unique because it focuses on the content of your site and not just the structure of the site. As all SEO experts acknowledge, great SEO starts with great content. By using Scribe you will ensure that your content meets the best practices for content structure and that search engines can easily identify your keywords/concepts.
In essence, Scribe allows writers to perform effective search engine optimization with little effort and no mystery.
I don’t see my WordPress theme listed!
You can use Scribe with any WordPress theme if you have the free All in One SEO plugin. You can download it here.
We will continue to support other themes over time based on the cooperation of theme developers. Because our plugin is under the GPL, you can modify it to support other themes before we get to it. Please see http://scribeseo.com/compatibility for a list of supported themes and plugins.
Does Scribe work on anything other than WordPress?
Scribe is an independent software service that works with WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and as a web-based application. That means you can optimize content for any publishing platform. In the coming months we will expand our support to other popular systems.

What languages do you support?
We currently support American English due to the technical limits of our semantic technology. We do not have any immediate plans to expand support to other languages in the next six months.
Can I copy my Scribe optimized content from one site to another?
Yes, Scribe focuses solely on the content and not site structure. You are free to optimize in your Thesis Theme site, for example, and then copy the same content over to another platform. Remember, though, you’ve got access to Scribe Web, so you can freely optimize for any CMS or publishing platform.
